Chapter 1613 The Second Prince III

Chapter 1613  The Second Prince III

The Second Prince retreated and said, "You really want to join him against me?"

"You were ready to discard me, fighting you isn't any different, I'll end up dead either way." Grey replied and attacked.

The Second Prince didn't dare to underestimate Grey's attack power, and without hesitation, he released his puppet.

Grey was elated when he saw this, and just as he was about to cut the link, he sensed something and stopped.

'A countermeasure.'

Grey was surprised when he sensed this. While locating the link, he sensed something that would automatically erupt, affecting both Grey and the owner of a puppet. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

'This guy is troublesome.' Grey thought as he looked at the Second Prince. He has had contact with multiple Princes, but none of them had this countermeasure. It is clear that this was something the Second Prince created after hearing the news of Grey being able to cut off the link.

The Second Prince didn't know that Grey had tried to cut off the link, but his puppet appeared and blocked Grey's attack. His puppet was in the Fifth stage of the Sovereign Plane.

The Second Prince was able to get an estimate on Grey's attack power from this attack, and his expectations were once again blown away by Grey's extraordinariness.

The attack power he felt was almost the same as his own, and that was the strength of a Fourth stage Sovereign.

'How is that possible?' He looked at Grey, stunned.

One has to know that the Second Prince was a genius in his cultivation stage, so Grey's attacking being close to his meant that the attack power is well above the strength of a normal Fourth stage Sovereign.

The Third Prince noticed the look the Second Prince gave Grey and attacked, taking his attention back to him.

Grey knew that the Second Prince was thinking about something, so it was best to keep him busy so he wouldn't be able to figure out Grey's identity.

The battle was locked in a stalemate, Grey and the Second Prince's puppet's couldn't take down each other, and that was the same outcome in the case for the two Princes.

The Second Prince being able to hold them back on his own showed how powerful he is. His techniques were also top notch.

Grey has tried repeatedly to see if he could get through the countermeasure set by the Second Prince. He was still thinking if he should kill off the Second Prince when he finally figured out a way to bypass it.

He looked at the Second Prince and smiled, he made a move, but this time, he used his space element to switch places with the Third Prince's puppet that was fighting with the Second Prince.

The sudden appearance of Grey caught the Second Prince off guard, and with Grey being stronger than the Third Prince's puppet, when he attacked, the defense set up by the Second Prince wasn't strong enough.

He was struck by Grey's attack, and the Third Prince went in the direction the Second Prince moved due to the impact of Grey's attack, and attacked while he was still struggling to find his footing.

The Second Prince scrambled to defend against Grey and the Third Prince's continuous attacks. The duo weren't giving him the chance he needed to regain his composure. He scrambled across the forest as he evaded and blocked the attacks that he could. Grey and the Third Prince didn't let him escape.

The two puppets were still battling, but the Second Prince's puppet was stronger, so it was slowly overwhelming the Third Prince's puppet.

Grey knew that once the Second Prince's puppet frees itself, the Second Prince might use the chance to escape or fight a life and death battle with them.

"Stop now and I'll pretend this never happened." He said calmly.

Grey and the Third Prince didn't bother to listen to what he had to say, this was their best chance at this.

The Second Prince was soon trapped by a cave's entrance. The puppets were still behind, so there was no way it could assist him at the moment.

He looked at both Grey and his brother, he was just about to explode with a powerful attack when he looked at Grey's eyes which glowed blue.

The Second Prince didn't expect a mental attack, so being attacked took him off-guard and he didn't even have the time to react. While the pain of the mental attack was still on, Grey cut off the link of the Second Prince to the puppet.

Grey felt his head go blank for a quarter of a second, but he regained himself, his eyes still glowing blue. Before the Second Prince could get himself, Grey was already standing in front of him, with a palm placed on his head, the Second Prince felt all the power sealed somewhere in his body.

"You? Impossible!" The Second Prince was speechless at the thought of the person who was standing before him. The only person capable of achieving what this young man just achieved is none other than Grey Dawson who was rumored to be in the God's tomb.

"I wanted to pay you guys a visit, and my friend didn't mind letting me in." Grey laughed as he looked at the fear and horror in the eyes of the Second Prince. He didn't think the Second Prince would be of him.

The Second Prince thought about who brought Grey into the Gnome world and shook his head vigorously, it is impossible that Grey and the Seventh Prince became friends. The Seventh Prince swore to kill Grey after being humiliated by him, so there was no way he would want to be friends with Grey.

"How did you make him bring you here?" The Second Prince asked.

"That… you can ask him for yourself." Grey chuckled.

The Second Prince got a certain sense of danger from Grey's chuckle.

Grey looked at the Second Prince, and heaved a sigh of relief. After staying here for some days, he has almost completed his objectives. He didn't know how long his father could keep the Gnomes in the God's tomb, it's unknown if the Gnomes will be able to figure things out in a short time.

He went on to ask the Second Prince a few questions which he didn't try to hide as he told Grey everything. Grey knew the Second Prince and couldn't help but worry if he was telling the truth or not. A few of them aligned with some of the Third Prince's words, so he felt there were some truths in them.

He didn't bother with the Second Prince any longer, and placed him under control. He sent the Third Prince back to the castle so no one would notice he was missing. After sending him back, he killed him in his room.

The Second Prince was the one he preferred to keep alive, and he also noticed that after putting the Second Prince under his control, he felt a great strain on his brain, he knew it was an effect of excessive people under his control.

Now with the Third Prince killed, the stain reduced. Grey didn't have any plans of keeping the First Prince alive, so he needed the help of the Second Prince.

….

The next day.

The Second Prince was still in the Sixth Prince's kingdom, investigating the death of his younger brother when he received the news of the Third Prince's death. It came as a shock to everyone, and even the Fourth and Fifth Princes who were fighting took a break after hearing about the death of another Prince.

Two Princes killed within such a short period. The others felt worried.

Grey and the Second Prince were in a chamber when the Second Prince received the news.

He took a look at Grey and nodded. Although Grey placed the Second Prince under his control, unlike the Seventh Prince and the Necromancers who were always under his control, the Second Prince didn't need to always be under his control.

The Second Prince didn't have any memory of the encounter from the previous night, so Grey didn't need to be bothered.

"You are fast." He said to Grey.

"I told you I'll get it done." Grey nodded and asked, "My payment?"

"Don't worry about that." The Second Prince was reassured and contacted the other Princes, including the First Prince. They need to get together at the Capital to ensure the safety of the surviving Princes.

Grey was pleased to hear this as he was still in the process of slowly weakening the First Prince. He was trying to use the Necromancer under his control to do this, but the Prince hasn't given him too many chances, and it was taking too long since Grey wasn't there to do it himself.

Once they meet in the Capital, Grey would use the opportunity to hasten the process, ensuring the death of the First Prince.
