Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3970 Welcoming The Rabbit

Chapter 3970  Welcoming The Rabbit

Davis thought before answering, "Illumina can decide that for herself. It doesn't matter where she is as long as she agrees to my experimentation and keeps an observant eye to guard the family. If she wants, she can even make a beast pact with one of you. Aila has the Rosy Cotton Rabbit's bloodline, so they could form a team if they want."

"Rosy Cotton Rabbit…" Illumina Lunarisse's brows squinted.

"What? You look down the Rosy Cotton Rabbit race?" Davis raised his brows.

"Yes- I mean…" Illumina Lunarisse shook her head, looking like a cornered rabbit since she let out a sliver of her true thoughts. After all, she was aware that there was a woman named Aila Cherryweave who accompanied Davis in the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm.

However, she clenched her teeth and continued.

"That race is a disgrace to us rabbits. Their only perk is their sweet flesh. Otherwise, they're weaker than most rabbits both in agility and strength. They are basically considered livestock by almost every magical beast since they're weak and used as dual cultivation slaves, and they're powerless to stop it…"

"The Cherryweave Family is going to cry…" Mingzhi sighed, "... not to mention Aila is going to be sad if she hears about the fate of the Rosy Cotton Rabbit that's no different than the First Haven World since they have been hunted down to extinction."

"I thought the rabbit race would be proud of being able to use Charm Laws." Lea appeared curious, "Is that not the case with the Lunar Blackclaw Rabbit? Surely, almost all rabbits possess some kind of charm ability."

"That is true…" Illumina Lunarisse looked ashamed as she lowered her gaze, "Although I'm also proud of being able to use a few charming abilities, it is mostly something used to attract a mate. It is fine to use it that way, as we rabbits are about harmony between the sexes, but the Rosy Cotton Rabbit unceasingly uses it as a means to an end without caring for its own dignity. They charm, deceive, and plunder. The females are said to be particularly vile. Hence, they were vilified and eaten to extinction, or so the records state. That's why every other strong rabbit race looks down on them."

"It seems like we can see a battle between Aila and Illumina soon with the honor of their respective bloodlines on the line." Mingzhi giggled.

"Stop throwing oil to the fire~"

Shirley and Lea both said at the same time, causing Mingzhi to giggle more. Of course, they knew one race could be easily vilified because of the prowess they possessed.

One such race was the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnids. Their hex was feared.

Although the Rosy Cotton Rabbit's abilities may not be feared, they were treated as a rare delicacy. Hence, people could make up any righteous reason to hunt them down.

Davis was also aware. He chuckled, "Well, if you two are incompatible, then there's no need to force it. However, I would like to say Aila is powerful and wouldn't take such shallow actions. She is also a straightforward woman who wouldn't resort to deceiving people, although she can be cunning. I'll give her that."

His lips curled, remembering how she garnered his attention by pitching herself to his wives.

"Indeed. Aila is a good girl. As for you," Shirley nodded before she gave a hand to Illumina Lunarisse, "Welcome to the Davis Family. I do hope that you find your place here. There are many people living with us, so it definitely wouldn't be lonely."

"I look forward to it."

Illumina Lunarisse grasped Shirley's hand and smiled, "Many thanks for believing in me and helping me. I will return this debt with my body and soul."

Shirley and the others nodded. They were impressed by the rabbit's loyalty. It was no wonder Davis wanted her. They wouldn't feel bad to have someone like her by their side.

A few hours later, he finally made it to the Great Desolate Plains.

The flying boat passed through the outer region and entered the desert area. As they traversed the skies, Davis suddenly narrowed his eyes, feeling the atmosphere flicker for some reason. It was as though he entered another space.

"Be on alert."

Davis warned the others and looked into the distance.

Suddenly, his messaging talisman lit up.

"Big brother!"

Stella's voice echoed, "I've been trying to contact you many times since two hours ago. We finally connected. The Heaven's Warriors are here, sweeping the region for our hideout. However, there are only a few Early Stage Empyreans and Autarchs, so I concealed the realm to my utmost ability. They will not be able to find us. I also do not recommend battling with them as they would know we're here!"

Hearing the message, everyone was shocked.

Their flying boat had the ability to conceal, so they could still be good. However, it seems that their hideout was close to being found.

Davis's eyes narrowed.

He looked into the distance, trying to find the presence of Heaven's Warriors, but he could not see it just with his eyes since the Great Desolate Plains was a large region. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"To have blocked our communications, it seems they have placed a long-range sealing formation that covers the entire Great Desolate Plains. This means they're also more than ninety percent sure we're here." Mingzhi's voice was solemn.

She exuded killing intent, not amused that they would really show up after getting killed, and Davis didn't go out of his way to hunt them down.

Davis nodded at Mingzhi. He didn't respond to Stella as this particular messaging talisman was a long-range, highly secure one-way communication tool that didn't leave traces. Otherwise, Stella's location would've been found out when she sent all those messages trying to contact him.

Since she was safe and sound along with the realm, Davis maintained his composure.

Eventually, he made it to the inner region and saw a plethora of people— all Heaven's Warriors.

His brows narrowed as he sensed thousands of auras. Most of them were at the Immortal Emperor and Sovereign Stage, but there were a few people who were at the Empyrean and Autarch Stage, around ten of them.

Among them, he sensed two auras that had reached Level Five Autarch Stage, making his eyes go wide. He instantly stopped the flying boat, trying to keep out of their range. It seemed that Stella's information was outdated already. Moreover, they were all concentrated near the central area where the mini realm was deep underground.

Perhaps they already knew the location of the mini realm but were waiting to strike as they didn't have enough martial prowess. After all, they knew he could kill Peak-Level Empyreans and Autarchs.

"What do we do? We can kill them all, but we'll lose our foothold in the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm." Mingzhi asked.

Her eyes were wide, her black pupils sharp and ruthless, looking ready to kill.

"How many minutes left?"

"Reporting to Autarch Helmi, we have received word that Autarch Elluro Coldwing would be here in five minutes. Until then, we are told not to make a move."

"Even though we know the Divine Emperor of Death is not here, or he would've already attacked us?"

"Yes!"

A few words were exchanged between a female Level Five Autarch and a Level One Autarch.

"Ridiculous. If we waited for everything, then every Divergent and their vile slaves would escape. Start the formation. Besiege the mini realm with a grand karmic attack. I will assume responsibility!"

Autarch Helmi reached out her hand and took the formation core from the Level One Autarch.

"...!"

Davis heard something that he could no longer stay still with. He moved, jumping out of the flying boat and arriving before Autarch Helmi, who looked as though she was about to pour energy into the formation core.

His hand reached out to her, clad in death energy. A ray of deathly energy slices through her. Her wrist was instantly cut, and he plundered the formation core along with the hand.

It happened in the time frame of a tenth of a second, alarming Autarch Helmi, who barely reacted. Davis threw his other hand, intending to kill Autarch Helmi in one move, when suddenly the entire scene disappeared, making Davis's finger stab into empty air where Autarch Helmi's forehead was.

"This is..."

Davis abruptly extended his senses without holding back. He still had Helmi's hand and the formation core, so he guessed that they were mostly real.

But in his perception, he sensed extreme danger.

There stood an Autarch hidden in the void, radiating a cold look in his eyes. It only took a moment for Davis to realize that he was baited into a trapping formation that separated spacetime, an extremely high-level formation that he couldn't understand heads or tails, and the person in front of him was clad in sapphire armor and possessed black hair-

"Elluro Coldwing, I assume?"

His words just fell, and a wave of terrifying death energy emerged, but his head had already come off, sliding down as it fell.

Elluro Coldwing was already standing behind him, flicking his silver sword coated in blood and turning to look at Davis as his gaze flashed.

"Farewell, vile Anarchic Divergent."

He waved his sword again, sending sword beams that sliced Davis into thousands of pieces as blood splashed in all directions, making an extremely gory mess!
