Immortal of the Nine Realms

Chapter 677: The Giant Hand of Heaven

Chapter 677: The Giant Hand of Heaven

"Don't go too far! Wait, wait! Don't hit my face!

"What do we have to do with the Dao? On what grounds are you questioning us!"

"Master, save me!"

The scene turned extremely chaotic. Some people were shouting curses, while others wanted to seek refuge with their sect elders. However, those elders turned the other cheek, completely ignoring what was happening and allowing the black paper figure to do as it pleased.

They realized that Fang Chen bore no intent of killing the juniors; he simply wanted to teach them a lesson. Since that was the case, why should they step in and offend the Void Immortal Sword Sect?

Where there were tragedies, there were also those who rejoice.

Many of the Golden Core disciples nearby secretly felt relieved that they had kept a low profile this time and hadn't made themselves targets or spoken inappropriate words to the Heavenly Cloud Emperor. If they had, they would likely be among those getting beaten up.

"He is invincible among the Golden Core Realm; I wonder if Northern Dipper or Celestial Heaven have someone who can rival him," one Golden Core Realm disciple said with complex expression.

He had personally experienced Fang Chen's methods at the Immortal Dynasty Manor. Before he went berserk, Fang Chen's abilities could already break the Sealing Immortal Formation of the Great Expansion Dao Gate.

At that time, the Sealing Immortal Formation was laid out by one hundred and eight Golden Core Realm cultivators and could even unleash attacks at the Nascent Soul level. Now, Fang Chen could easily kill those in the Enlightenment Realm. Such prowess made everyone reevaluate Dao techniques.

Soon, those who had spoken disrespectfully to Senior Yun He were all taught a lesson by the black paper figure. During this time, Senior Yun He surprisingly struck up a conversation with the little girl brought by the Green Wood Sect Ancestor, wearing a kind smile.

Heavenly King Zhen and the others exchanged surprised glances, repeatedly looking at the little girl.

Could it be that... she was the one Senior Yun He favored?

Fang Chen attempted to strike up a conversation with Senior Yun He, but after saying a few words and receiving no response, he could only sigh helplessly. He then turned his gaze toward the cultivators of the Morning Star Dao Sect.

These individuals were easy to identify as their Dao robes were similar to those of the Dragon Sovereign, differing only in color and embroidery.

"Kid, think this through. Originally, you and I have no grievances. If you choose to question the Morning Star Dao Sect, we will be enemies from now on," the Dragon Sovereign said indifferently." n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Fang Chen remained expressionless as he looked at a Morning Star Dao Sect disciple who had just mocked Senior Yun He.

"I, Fang Chen of the Three Thousand Dao Sect, question you today. Only one of us can live."

The cultivator being questioned turned pale. He glanced nervously at the Dragon Sovereign.

"The Morning Star Dao Sect has never been afraid of challenges. Since someone has questioned you, what are you waiting for?" the Dragon Sovereign said coldly, casting a dismissive glance at Fang Chen before looking at Wang Zhenlong on the opposing immortal ship, a cold smile creeping onto his lips.

The cultivator being questioned was filled with despair, looking at Fang Chen in frustration. "What else do you have besides the Spiritual Attachment Technique!"

He desperately hoped that this statement would compel Fang Chen to abandon the Spiritual Attachment Technique and use other Dao techniques against him.

This way, he could still easily win. The Spiritual Attachment Technique was too strange; he couldn't tell how the opponent had refined such a powerful evil entity.

Fang Chen chuckled. "Have you never heard the saying, 'One move can conquer the world'?"

In just an instant, the opponent was torn to pieces by the black paper figure, blood and bits of organs raining down from the sky.

The Dragon Sovereign watched this scene, his face expressionless. In the end, he said, "Disciples of the Morning Star Dao Sect, return to the mountain."

"Yes!"

In the blink of an eye, the cultivators of the Morning Star Dao Sect turned around and quickly left.

The atmosphere around them grew somewhat silent. First, the Great Expansion Dao Gate, then the Morning Star Dao Sect—both great Dao sects were forced to flee in disarray.

Though this didn't necessarily mean the Three Thousand Dao Sect was stronger than these two sects, as this was merely a questioning session governed by many rules, it would still damage the reputation of both Dao sects if word got out.

"The Dao Sects are wise; they knew things were looking bad and fled immediately," someone whispered.

"I reckon this fellow will have to be cautious of Dao cultivators every time he goes out in the future. No matter how powerful the Void Immortal Sword Sect is, they can't send an Upper Three Realms ancestor to follow him around every day, right?" another commented.

As the crowd murmured among themselves, Fang Chen glanced around. The Dao disciples had all withdrawn, and he had no one left to question. Unless he were to question Ouyang Xuanzhen or the Dragon Sovereign, which was clearly impossible.

Beside the Ninth Prince, Qi Jian's gaze was icy as he stared at Fang Chen and whispered, "Ninth Prince, my son must have died at this child's hands."

"Oh?"

The Ninth Prince's gaze shifted slightly. He contemplated as he said, "What do you plan to do? This child interfered in my matters not long ago; he must be taught a lesson."

"I will find an opportunity to take action personally. His methods are quite extraordinary, so it would be most prudent for an old man like me to intervene."

"Very well, then look for a chance later," the Ninth Prince agreed.

Meanwhile, the rumbling in the sky gradually diminished, and two figures soon appeared in front of everyone, one after the other.

Ancestor Qingmu wore a smile, a trace of blood barely visible at the corner of his mouth. The figure opposite him wasn't in much better shape, as he had several noticeable wounds.

"You lost," Ancestor Qingmu said with a faint smile.

He lost?

The crowd exchanged strange looks, turning to the robed Profound Immortal.

The Profound Immortal let out a cold laugh. "Indeed, you are more skilled. However, it's absolutely impossible for you to kill me. I may have lost this round, but I wonder how many rounds you can endure?"

As he spoke, another robed cultivator stepped forward, smiled at Ancestor Qingmu, and declared, "I am Bei Shen from the Morning Star Dao Sect."

Ancestor Qingmu chuckled and once again entered the void with this person, not taking so much as a breather.

After two more hours, the two figures gradually appeared. Ancestor Qingmu bore some additional injuries, while his opponent was even worse off, as his face pale from blood loss.

"Is there anyone else?" Ancestor Qingmu scanned the surroundings and smiled.

No one responded, silence enveloping the area.

Both the old and the young were formidable opponents. The elder had defeated two fellow Profound Immortals, and though he hadn't taken their lives, he had indirectly demonstrated that he was one of the top figures amongst Profound Immortals.

The younger one had struck down dozens of cultivators from the Great Expansion Dao Gate and had even forced both the Great Expansion Dao Gate and Morning Star Dao Sect cultivators to flee.

The results of the battles were quite impressive.

At that moment, Senior Yun He suddenly turned to Ouyang Xuanzhen and said with a faint smile, "Your understanding is quite good; you might be able to inherit my teachings. Here, take this."

With a wave of his sleeve, a stone orb flew directly toward Ouyang Xuanzhen.

Fang Chen was slightly startled; this stone bead was identical to the one he had obtained from the stone box.

Ouyang Xuanzhen was momentarily taken aback but quickly regained his composure, a smile on his face as he reached out to catch the stone orb.

Just then, a colossal hand suddenly appeared in the sky, imposing a sense of pressure on everyone present, including the Immortal Kings.

This hand seemed to be headed toward the stone orb.

A look of surprise flickered in Heavenly King Zhen's eyes.

The owner of that hand was likely a First Rate Sect Leader!
