Level Up: Voidwalker

Chapter 266 Do You Want

Atlas let the blonde drag him to her room, where she got changed into her nightclothes. She looked at him with glowing blue eyes and commented with a smirk, ''Undress, you're not wearing armor in bed.''

He chuckled before dismissing his clothes and climbing into bed. Estelle followed suit and cuddled up to him by putting her head on his shoulder. The two of them soon fell asleep as the storm outside got worse.

As Atlas drifted into sleep, he unexpectedly found himself dreaming. The scene unfolded around him. He was standing in the courtyard of a grand castle that's when a sharp, rhythmic clang of blades filled the air, drawing his attention.

Turning toward the source of the sound, he spotted two women locked in an intense duel, their movements swift and skilled. One had white hair like his own but with glowing pink eyes, and the other looked like an older version of Estelle.

'Is she related to Estelle? It can't be,' he thought while watching the fight. 'This world seems old. I recognize some stuff, but others are new to me.'

The white-haired woman quickly deflected several attacks with a big smile. Atlas watched the blonde try to outclass the faster woman, but she sidestepped the blonde's strike and leveled her blade at her opponent's throat.

''You're getting slower, Juliette. I'm glad mother and father hired you to train me,'' the younger woman commented in an excited tone. ''Traveling this far must have taken its toll on you.''

Atlas watched the blonde knight laugh as she replied, ''I loved the journey, princess. I got to fight monsters and bandits that aren't seen in my homeland.''

The princess nodded without losing her smile. ''Since Father conquered the Zarandar Continent, the bandits and monsters fled Aurelia to Astoria,'' she said before putting her sword away.

''That's putting pressure on the Achaemendians,'' the blonde remarked, her tone tinged with concern. ''They're furious at the empire for flooding their small kingdom with chaos.''

Her words hung in the air as the two made their way toward a magnificent palace nestled at the base of a towering mountain. They walked into the palace where maids rushed about like ants.

Atlas watched the white-haired woman giggle before speaking. ''They will be next. They've caused enough trouble for the empire. I heard Big Brother is heading north to deal with them.''

''Yes, they are joining up with Argonia to fight. The Achaemendians have been raiding our lands,'' the blonde revealed. ''I need to return with the army. My little sister is pregnant with my niece and I want to be there for the birth.''

When Atlas heard this, his eyes widened as he thought, 'Maybe her mother?'

Following that, the dream suddenly ended as thunder boomed overhead. He woke up with Estelle cuddled up to him, ''What was that dream?'' he muttered before getting up.

Atlas walked over to the bedroom window and looked outside, only to see a rainstorm pouring down as thunder lit up the Otherworld. He saw the forest below was swaying back and forward, causing him to worry about the Shadowfang Family.

Without wasting time, he teleported to their camp, which was getting battered by the weather, which annoyed him. Atlas created several cabins for them and spoke as the king exited the tent. ''Take these for your home. We're in the forest where your people should be hiding.''

The king looked at the new builders before smiling as the older man approached him and held out his hand, ''I'm Ulric Shadowfang, the previous king of the Shadowfang Kingdom.''

Atlas took it and replied with a friendly expression, ''Atlas, it's good to meet you Ulric, but get your family in the cabins. The weather is only getting worse.''

Ulric nodded before preparing to tend to his family. ''Thank you, I will get them moving now. Thanks for all your help Atlas, when I finally beat the empire I'll reward you,'' he said in a grateful voice.

Following that, he left them behind and went on a walk through the jungle. After half an hour, Atlas sensed all kinds of monsters lurking in the surrounding darkness. Seconds later, he reached Atek's home, where he found the Frostfang Tiger cuddled up with Nala.

This scene took Atlas by surprise as he thought, 'They are lovers? Doesn't surprise me as the tiger got more affectionate.'

Seconds later, Nala's head popped up as her voice sounded in her mind, 'Master? What brings you to our home?'

Atlas grinned when hearing her tired voice. ''So you two are together now?''

The lioness nodded, causing him to continue. ''Good, you will build a powerful army for me and still help me despite being a mother Nala.''

Following that, he left the monsters alone and teleported back to the treehouse. When Atlas appeared, he spotted Nulia walking out of her bedroom. The brown-skinned woman let out a yawn as she stretched.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Atlas noticed her bear ears twitch as she greeted him with a loving smile. ''Morning Alt, what are you doing up? It's freezing out here.''

He chuckled softly before stepping closer to Nulia, gently wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his head on the curve of her neck. With a tender touch, Atlas started kissing along her slender neck.

Each one made her tremble because of the pleasure. After that, he spoke with a grin, ''Do you want to come back to bed with me? We'll be trapped in the treehouse until the storm calms down.''

Without a word, Nulia grabbed his hand and led him toward her bedroom, a radiant smile lighting up her face. As they stepped into the cozy, warmly lit room, she turned to him and declared with a playful voice, ''Yes, I love cuddling you, Atlas. Now shut up and get comfortable.''

He chuckled when hearing this before climbing under the sheets and getting cozy as Nulia joined him. The Frostbear beauty quickly cuddled up to him as he started playing with her soft hair.

'This is the life, but once I defeat the empire I can finally rest,' he thought with a tired smile.

Nulia let out a contented sigh, her body relaxing as she snuggled into his side. The warmth of the moment seemed to lull her into a peaceful sleep. He gazed out the window, his fingers gently tracing circles on her back.

Atlas stayed there in quiet comfort, the rhythm of his movements soothing both of them until his own eyes finally closed, and he drifted off to sleep. The following morning, he woke up and noticed the room was still dark.

While lying there, he activated the Void Realm and appeared in the humid jungle. Creature roars echoed across the landscape. Atlas pulled out his swords before checking on the monster total.

Following this, Atlas felt the ground shake as the Tarrasques started charging at him while letting out earth-shaking roars. He smiled when he saw this just as he started casting Void Lances.

'This should deal with them,' he thought as the excitement soared.

The azure projectiles sliced through the dense jungle, their blinding speed striking with precision. They slammed into three of the monstrous giants, tearing gaping holes through their torsos and sending them back into the void.

As the creatures faded, the battle erupted in full force. Atlas dodged the giant's snapping jaws and whip-like tails. His reflexes were sharp as he navigated the chaos, staying one step ahead of their deadly strikes.

Atlas continued casting Void Lances and Bombs into the Tarrasques that quickly destroyed waves of creatures. He was enjoying himself while using Void Step to appear on the branches above.

The monsters got angry as they couldn't reach him. Atlas chuckled as the giant creatures slammed into the base of the tree. 'Oh fuck, looks like they do have some brain in that massive head,' he thought.

Following that, Atlas jumped off the tree branch and landed on one of the monster's heads before leaping into the treetops. He continued attacking the creatures with Void Lances that were strong enough to pierce through its thick hide.

The Tarrasques crashed to the ground, their massive forms vanishing into the void with a deafening roar. Just as Atlas prepared to leap from his perch, the monster lashed out, toppling the tree he was in.

He heard a loud crack and, before he could react, the tree began to fall, causing him to yelp in surprise.

In a split second, Atlas cast Void Step, vanishing from the tree and reappearing on the ground below. But there was no time to rest. More monsters were closing in, forcing him to keep moving.

While doing this, he quickly checked on the monster total to see how many he had killed.

'This will take some time, but I'll ask the girls to help me thin out the numbers,' Atlas thought with an excited smile.
