At that moment, they finally understood why Hank had called them bumpkins. It was undeniable—they had been living in a bubble, ignorant of the wider world. They were nothing more than big fish in a small, shallow pond.

"Now, do you still think I can’t afford to go up against [Princess]?" Hank asked, his sharp gaze fixed on Scarry, his tone calm and detached. Hank’s earlier display wasn’t meant to impress Stanley. It was a calculated move to demonstrate his strength and smooth the path for future negotiations.

Scarry tore his gaze away from the shattered remains of the table, his eyes still wide with shock.

Leroy, standing behind Scarry, could certainly match such a feat in theory. However, destroying a marble coffee table so completely with a single strike was far beyond his ability.

Only someone who had fully mastered and refined their Internal Strength could accomplish something so effortless yet devastating!

‘This man can definitely kill [Princess]!' Scarry’s heart surged with excitement. The fear and awe he had once felt toward Yaeger had completely evaporated. In their place burned humiliation and the intoxicating prospect of revenge.

He vividly remembered kneeling before Yaeger in front of his own subordinates, humiliating himself as he obediently opened his treasury and let her take what she pleased.

The humiliation was unbearable. How could he not hate Yaeger and fantasize about killing her a hundred times over? Of course, he did—but he had lacked the strength to act on it.

To make matters worse, for reasons he couldn’t comprehend, the [Hidden Xu Family] had brushed the incident aside and refused to act on his behalf.

Fear had kept Scarry from daring to retaliate against Yaeger. But now that fear had faded, dark and vengeful desires began to fester in his heart, growing impossible to suppress.

‘I must kill her. I must see her dead!' Having danced on the edge of death from a young age, Scarry’s heart, hardened with boldness and cruelty, had not softened over the years.

If anything, his wickedness had only grown fiercer and more ruthless with time.

"Mr. Zhao…" Scarry began, his voice edged with intent, but Leroy interrupted him.

"Master Zhao, as expected of a Half-Step Grandmaster. Your power is truly extraordinary. I’m deeply impressed," Leroy said, offering a respectful salute.

However, Leroy’s tone shifted. "That said, the [Hidden Xu Family] has decided not to take any action against [Princess] for the time being. Regrettably, we can’t offer you any direct assistance."

As he spoke, the sound of knuckles cracking broke the tense silence. It was Hank, his fists clenched tightly in barely restrained anger. His expression darkened into one of pure fury.

Even Doug, seated beside him, wore a grotesque expression, his face twisted with rage like a predator about to pounce.

"Please, calm yourselves," Leroy said quickly, raising his right hand in a placating gesture. "While the [Hidden Xu Family] may not be able to help you directly, that doesn’t mean we can’t offer some indirect assistance."

As he spoke, Leroy stepped forward and retrieved his phone from his pocket. Hank narrowed his eyes, his grim expression radiating a tense, explosive energy, as though he might detonate at any moment.

Stanley and Mack struggled to catch their breath, their hearts pounding wildly in their chests. An inexplicable sense of dread gripped them, as though they had stumbled into a lonely valley and come face-to-face with a tiger.

"This forum was created by one of the world’s top assassin organizations," Leroy explained, holding up his phone. "It has all the information you could ever want, including everything about [Princess]. Our [Hidden Xu Family] can sponsor your membership." Leroy held his phone out to Hank and offered a faint smile.

"I’ve heard of this forum before, but I never knew how to gain access," Hank said with a nod. "Very well. Dragonbane Mountain will remember this favor from the [Hidden Xu Family]."

Though the [Hidden Xu Family] had refused direct involvement, indirect assistance was better than nothing.

"Master! Master! Big news!" In Yaeger’s room within the [City of Chaos], Little Blue barged in uninvited, her voice ringing out excitedly.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"What’s with all the shouting?" Yaeger groaned as she slowly opened her eyes. She crawled out of bed and fixed her gaze on the floating little creature before her.

"I was browsing the forums out of boredom, and guess what? I found someone targeting you, Master!" Little Blue announced in an overly dramatic tone.

"Huh?" Yaeger blinked, clearly puzzled.

"This one right here." Little Blue tapped the air, instantly summoning a holographic screen.

Yaeger followed Little Blue’s gesture and saw what appeared to be a rather ordinary forum site.

"Ding, ding, ding! This is Vera’s forum site!" Little Blue declared cheerfully.

"You hacked into it?" Yaeger asked, though she wasn’t particularly surprised—she had already learned about the forums from Vera 17.

"Hmph. Hacking this was a walk in the park." Little Blue sneered, placing her hands on her hips with pride.

"In under a minute, no less. This looks like the backend interface. Did you actually crack the login password?" Yaeger asked, a flicker of surprise crossing her face.

"Of course. Those two gave me some useful data, so hacking it was a breeze. Honestly, even without their intel, breaking into the backend would’ve been as easy as strolling through my own backyard." Little Blue lifted her chin, radiating pure pride.

"You really are something else," Yaeger said, unable to resist giving Little Blue an affectionate pat on the head.

"Hehe!" Little Blue beamed with delight before asking, "Master, should I tear this forum down?"

"No, leave it be," Yaeger replied with a sly smile. "Since Vera doesn’t know you can sneak in, we can use the site to gather information from all over the world—at no cost. Let her do the hard work for us."

Until she resolved all domestic affairs, Yaeger had no intention of traveling overseas to confront Vera.

"Great! That means I’ll have more time to play!" Little Blue exclaimed, twirling around in delight.

"Oh, you. All you ever care about is playing." Yaeger rolled her eyes, her voice tinged with exasperation.

"I was trapped underground for countless years. How could I not want to have some fun?" Little Blue pouted dramatically.

"Fine. Play as much as you want—just make sure you do your job," Yaeger said with a soft smile. She always had a gentle spot for those under her care.

"Master, you’re the best! I love you!" Little Blue took the opportunity to lunge forward, arms open for a hug.

"Stop fooling around." Before Little Blue could make contact, Yaeger swiftly caught her and tossed her onto the bed with ease.

"Let’s get serious. Didn’t you just say someone was targeting me?" Yaeger asked, her tone firm.

Little Blue rolled across the bed before sitting up straight. "Here’s the deal, Master. Someone just got vouched into the forum backend. Leroy from the [Hidden Xu Family] is vouching for a man from Jinxi to become a member."

"What does that have to do with me?" Yaeger asked, her brow furrowing slightly as she vaguely recalled the name Leroy.

After a moment of thought, she remembered the connection—Glory Entertainment Center.

‘So, it’s him,’ she realized.

"The issue is with this man from Jinxi," Little Blue said with theatrical flair. "He wants access to the forum so he can buy all the information about you, Master!"

"What else?" Yaeger asked calmly.

"What else… Oh, right! Master, this guy—Hank—is apparently a Half-Step Grandmaster!" Little Blue exclaimed, her tone rising with emphasis.

"A Half-Step Grandmaster targeting me?" Yaeger mused. "Speaking of Jinxi Province, that reminds me of the Southern Coast."

Glory Entertainment Center, Leroy, Jinxi Province’s Southern Coast, and now a Half-Step Grandmaster. In a flash, Yaeger connected all the dots.

"Heh. So, they’re here for revenge," Yaeger said with a sly smirk.
