71 - Art. 71. The Second Loach
I woke up on the bed in the house. I don't know how much I drank the day before. I don't even remember how I got back here. My head is pounding. I'm hungover. I wake up to find no one here. Usually it's Rico or May, maybe two beautiful faces there, but today there's no one.
I cast a restorative spell to ease the pain. I wobble a bit, but I manage to stand. I get off the bed, change my clothes and walk out of the room.
"Rico~!"
I go to Rico's room, but nobody is there. I also went to May's room, but there was no one there either. I go downstairs to the dining room. But there is no one here either.
"Gong~. Ferris! Peris. Ruara~. Is anyone here?
No one has ever left my house before. Anxiety wells up in my heart. What's wrong with everyone? Where did they go?
Come to think of it, Geneha and Ilimo should be outside. I rush to the stable. And there was Ilimo.
"Ilimo! Thank God! You're here, aren't you? Where's Jeneha? What happened to everyone else?"
But Ilimo twisted around and turned his head away from me.
"Ilimo?"
She won't face me. I stand there for a moment. And then I am bounced into the transfer ward, and we move to the town of Kyliak. I hear a noise from the shore. I run toward it as fast as I can.
There is a crowd of people. At the center of it... there he is! It's Rico!
"Rico oh ~~~~!"
I run under Rico, waving my hands. Oh, this dignified face. Her white skin, her flat chest. That's Rico. That's my Rico.
"Rico! I was so worried when I woke up and you weren't here. Thank God!"
"What are you talking about? It stinks! Please do something about the smell of your mouth!"
Rico rejected me right in front of me. We laughed hysterically, and I silently cast a cleansing spell on my mouth and body. I had just finished eating a lot of garlic-laden Esalahar while drinking sake. Of course it smells bad.
I looked closer and saw Peris, Ferris, and Ruara. They had all come to bring breakfast to the residents. I was completely asleep, so I guess they left me here. And May is at the ward where they make dried esalahar, checking its dryness and taste.
"I think it will be fine if we use this method.
May is quickly explaining to the women of the Kaijin tribe how to operate this ward.
After breakfast was over, I gathered everyone together. Although Esarahar has been exterminated, Tohotsu, another fishing town, is also occupied by Esarahar. This is a salt-producing area, so it must be exterminated as soon as possible. So, I set up my own wards in Kailik, leaving a minimum number of people behind.
After two hours of walking, we arrive at the town of Tohotsu. We all receive our lunch boxes and discuss the plan of action over them. Basically the same as the previous day. After a short strategy meeting, the Esarahar extermination mission is launched.
Everyone is performing their respective roles with familiar movements. Esarahar is being exterminated at a faster pace than the previous day. Then, an even larger fish appears to prey on the Esarajal.
"...Nyburn! There's a Nyburn out there!"
The marine tribe is in an uproar. They are told that it is a rare fish that rarely appears. It is a huge fish, several meters in length. It has swallowed thousands of esarahal in one gulp. We are told that the white meat of the fish is excellent, so we decide to catch about 10 naibahn as well. As expected, the divers had a hard time accommodating this huge body, and we finally managed to capture all of the nyburns by late afternoon.
While the divers were hunting, I set up a ward to create dried Esalahar, and at the same time, I experimented with another ward. It is a warding that eliminates microorganisms in the warding.
I spent a considerable amount of MP to create the warding and put Esarahal in it. In the evening, I took it out of the ward and ate it. Frankly speaking, it was delicious. I made the warding in the manner of canning, but somehow it seems to have succeeded. I decided to keep the sashimi and tataki here. And the tens of thousands of esarajal that could not be dismantled will be stored here as well.
Dinner that night consisted of Esalahar sashimi and Naibahn sashimi. The nibahn sashimi was very, very tasty. As on the previous day, there was a lot of drinking and singing, but we would not make the same mistake twice. Rico and his friends went back to the house in the warding I had prepared for them, but I stayed there and drank until the morning. On the way back, I made the mistake of doing an impersonation of Mar-ion toward the sea. But that is a secret story.
In the morning, I managed to recover from my hangover with a recovery spell and got up. While checking to see if May's lecture the previous day on how to make dried esalahar had been understood, Rico and the others arrived. We all have breakfast together, and we call for those among the human soldiers and adventurers who wish to stay here. Surprisingly, several dozen people raise their hands. It seems that we have made friends with the mariners after a night of drinking.
We talk to the head of the tribe in Tohotsu and decide to station 15 people there. He offers us a vacant house in Tohotsu for our housing. Not as a thank-you for their kindness, but I have also set up a ward against the town, so that no one with an evil mind or evil thoughts can approach the town.
When we returned to the town of Kairiq, we put up a "fish-proof ward" here as well, and moved the Esalahar we had stored in the endless storage there. I then took the rest of the people and moved them to the house of the Lord of Krumphal, and made a living space for them near the house.
The living space is my ward. I made it like a magic mirror so that it cannot be seen from the outside. The inside is small, but it consumes a lot of MP because of its high defense and the fact that I made it so that its contents are kept at a constant temperature. It is about 150 shelters. I was exhausted by the time I finished.
In the meantime, the men built simple toilets, and the women helped to set up a living environment, so we were able to set up a minimum living environment surprisingly quickly. Then, with the last of my strength, I dug a well with earth magic and hardened the surrounding area so that the well could be used, and we finished our work for the day. Some of them said they would eventually build their own houses, and we might as well let them build their own houses.
I give them today's lunches and leave clothing and daily necessities. For a moment I thought there was going to be a fight, but Pius and Arga and the others were organizing the line and giving each of them an equal share of what they needed. In this sense, the fact that there was not a word of complaint from the transferees was a testament to their leadership. They are not so bad after all, since Liko had raised them.
The women with their arms full of daily necessities are thanking Rico.
"You don't have to thank me."
"But, Mr. Lycorette..."
It was my husband, Linos, who did this for me. You can thank him for this.
"Thank you, Mr. Linos. We have found a place to live.
"Good for you. I hope we can make this a good town! No, let's all make this a great city!"
"Hi!"
A big smile on his face. Rico looks satisfied.
With that smile on my face, we went back to the house. I had used my MP to the limit and went to sleep without eating dinner.
And the morning came again.
