Chapter 733 I Like You More Than Him
"Zion, I received another offer from a cosmetic brand an hour ago," Shasha said. "Should I accept it?"
"What brand?" Thirteen inquired as he looked at his sister, who still had a few bandages on her body. "EL'Oreal," Shasha replied. "They're a pretty popular company." "What are their conditions?"
"Here." Shasha showed her brother the contract the company had sent her. The teenage boy took out a magnifying glass to read the small printed letters that had been placed in the contract. Tiona helped feed her Master by using her tail to hold the fried chicken leg that he was munching on just a while ago.
"By agreeing to these contract terms, you will also be subjected to be a model of the swimsuit brand, Pink Apple," Thirteen read out loud after he finished chewing the food inside his mouth. "You'll also be given priority to appear on the front cover of the Payboy Magazine for three months after this contract is signed."
Sherry and Erica, who were listening to this conversation while eating cereal, blinked once then twice before looking at Shasha in surprise.
Pink Apple was a very popular brand for women's swimsuits.
In fact, the swimsuits Sherry and Erica owned were all from Pink Apple.
The offer was perfect until Thirteen mentioned the Payboy Magazine, which was a Gravure Company.
Their models would wear lingerie or swimsuits and post provocative photos to their magazines, which were aimed at men.
Although gravure models only posed provocative shots at most without doing nude photos, Thirteen had no intention of letting his sister appear on the front cover of such magazines.
"Reject them," Thirteen said. "Okay," Shasha replied. The teenage boy acted as the manager for his siblings, so whenever they were given these kinds of job offers, he would check them to ensure that the companies wouldn't screw his siblings three times over.
After Shasha's battle with Char Lotte, many brand names reached out to her, wanting to have her as one of their models.
There were even some who wanted to make her do some commercials, which Shasha had also done in the past.
Actually, when Thirteen tried to sell his self-made noodles, the one whom he planned to pose as the model for the commercial was none other than Shasha. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
However, after Gerald and Alessia did a taste test of his product, the two immediately crossed their hands and convinced Thirteen that his product wasn't meant for public consumption.
Heck, even monsters might not even dare to eat it!
This was why Thirteen really liked Maple and Cinnamon.
The two adorable girls would praise him and tell him that his cooking was the best they had ever tasted.
This made him have a suspicion that the human tongue was unable to appreciate the flavor that he created from specially handpicked ingredients that would make their bodies very healthy.
"You should rest early, Shasha," Thirteen replied. "You're still injured."
"Understood." Shasha then gave Thirteen a kiss on the cheek before walking up the stairs to her room. She never doubted her brother's advice since she was young.
If Zion told her to go west, she would never go east.
If he told her to jump, she would just ask him how high.
That was the absolute trust between him and his siblings.
"Zion, tomorrow, that guy, Vincent, will be fighting your Squad Captain, Colbert," Erica said. "Who do you think will win?"
"It's hard to say," Thirteen replied. He had seen Vincent fight, but he was certain that the handsome young man was still hiding aces under his sleeve.
Colbert, on the other hand, had been trained by him and had learned a lot of tricks under his guidance.
Truth be told, he didn't want the two of them to fight. However, Colbert had a chat with him before the day of the competition and mentioned that he wished to fight Vincent.
When Thirteen asked him why he wanted to do that, his third-in-command within the 69th Battalion stated that he simply wished to test Vincent's strength.
Thirteen knew that Colbert had other reasons, but he didn't want to pry.
So after careful consideration, he decided to agree to his request.
In Group 2, the people who belonged to Thirteen's team were Mikhail, Cristopher, and Colbert.
Cristopher and Colbert could tell that Zion seemed to treat Vincent as a friend, but they were only seeing him for the first time.
Because of this, Colbert decided to test the young man if he was worthy of becoming one of their Master's friends, or perhaps, a part of his Inner Circle in the future.
This was the real reason why he asked to fight against Vincent.
Ideally, Cristopher and Colbert were meant to concede if they ever met Mikhail in the tournament.
Their role was to thin out the opposition so that the brother of their Young Master would have less competition, allowing him to become the Champion of their bracket.
But Vincent was also in Group 2, and truth be told, Thirteen wanted to know who would win between him and Mikhail.
"You know, that Vincent guy feels weird," Erica said. "When I look at him, I feel like I'm being pricked by needles. How about you, Sherry?"
Sherry pondered a bit before giving her answer.
"I don't really feel anything in particular when I look at him," Sherry replied. "I just think he is very good-looking… but I like you more than him."
Perhaps not wanting to say that Vincent looked more attractive than the teenage boy, Sherry immediately followed up her words that she felt from the heart, making her blush. Thirteen blinked once then twice before smiling at Sherry.
"Vincent is more handsome than me, that's a fact," Thirteen said as he stood up to pat Sherry's head. "But thank you for saying that you like me more."
The blush on Sherry's face became a shade redder, making Erica look at the two with a mischievous smile on her face.
The Sorceress was still unsure if what Sherry felt for Zion was respect, admiration, or maybe even puppy love.
There was a time when the young lady mentioned that Zion reminded her of her brother who still hadn't returned since his First Wandering.
Erica thought that since Zion was dependable, Sherry might have instinctively thought of him as a replacement for her older brother, whom their family missed terribly.
Still, she also understood that given more time, Sherry would finally understand what she truly felt about Zion.
Erica, on the other hand, already knew what she felt about the teenage boy, who was filled with mystery in her eyes.
