Chapter 450 Ember's God Kingdom
450 Ember's God Kingdom
Ember's suggestion was a big hit with everyone.
After all, despite them cheesing the bottleneck of the 8th to 9th stages, they were completely stumped on reaching the god level. After all, one of the main requirements for that is to create a "Kingdom," a special space located in a separate realm of existence from this world.
"I want to go see a kingdom, My Lord! Maybe I can learn how to make one after observing one!"
"I'm not rushing to reach god-level, but going to Ember's God Kingdom sounds cool!"
Igni and Fang commented enthusiastically, as the two were the ones who wanted to reach God Level as soon as possible. Fang's words about not rushing? A bald-faced lie that everyone could see through instantly.
Anyway, with everyone's agreement, we decided to go and rest inside Ember's God Kingdom for a week. Of course, we're not setting out immediately but rather scheduling it for tomorrow. We need to prepare things before heading there, after all.
Like food, several sets of clothes, and other luxury items like games and such.
Everyone dispersed after they each decided on their jobs for tomorrow. For example, I was in charge of gathering ingredients for food during our entire week. Of course, since I wanted to rest, I firmly refused, but the girls made me cook at least once a day, saying that they loved my recipes the best.
I'm no expert in cooking, but hearing them say that much is making me feel great, no lie. So in the end, I went with the flow and agreed to make breakfast for everyone for a week.
For the two other meals, we decided to drag a few of the Succubus Tamers who know how to cook. For that, Fina said that she'd be the one to select, so I left it to her discretion.
Fang and Igni gathered the potions and other necessities while we were training... Of course, there's training even on a leisure trip. *sigh*
Anyway, after we distributed tasks, we then went to sleep... Of course, the girls bothered me in my room, but we didn't do anything over-the-top. I was just cuddling with them, practically buried in their midst. It was heavenly, but I almost went to heaven after getting smushed, virtually unable to breathe.
When morning came, we started to move immediately.
I went around the market together with Fatima and Ember, choosing the best-quality ingredients in the pile. The two of them were practically experts when it came to this, so I'm thankful for their help.
The shopping trip lasted two hours, up until it was 9 a.m. After that, we all returned to the Debauchery Hall, where everyone was already gathered. Besides the girls, there were also about 20 succubus tamers included, and three of them looked familiar. Weren't they the ones who joined us at our meal previously?
"Then, I'll be taking everyone to my Kingdom now. Please stay still."
Ember warned as she closed her eyes. Then, a few moments later, everyone became covered with a bright white light.
"Urk!"
I involuntarily closed my eyes before placing my arm over them to block the flash. When the glare faded, I slowly opened my eyes and was left in awe.
"This place is..."
I recalled Namia's God Kingdom from before, and it practically looked like a complete castle, with a courtyard and all that. However, Ember's God Kingdom wasn't at the level of a castle, but bigger... as big as an entire kingdom, true to its name.
On the northern end of it, there were large buildings, like warehouses or something, where the sounds of machines and metal were echoing. Are those the assembly lines for the things that Ember takes out randomly?
Now I know why she seemed to have something new whenever we went into battle. There are hundreds of those large buildings, after all, and all of them were active and fully automated!
At the very center, there's a taaaaall building, like a skyscraper, that stretches beyond the clouds. It was an amazing sight, but scary at the same time since it goes against the laws of physics that I know.
With it being this tall, the force of the winds should be able to push it and cause the entire building to wobble, but it wasn't moving an inch!
"I referenced Master's memory to make this place. It should be pretty close, right?"
"You mean, you made this while relying on my vague descriptions?"
Now I get why there's the small discrepancies that I could see here and there. It's the modern world being reinterpreted by someone who has never seen it before!
However, what's even more amazing is that "all" the buildings here were functional. There were storage places, assemblies, pipelines, warehouses, and many others.
"It's scary how accurately you've arrived at replicating what I described."
"Ehehe, it's only because Master's description was vivid that I managed to create all these."
I nodded my head, feeling her appreciation and respect for me.
"But what's that tall thing at the center? How did you make it so tall?"
"That?"
Ember turned to where I was looking and tilted her head.
"It's the thing you called a skyscraper. I tried to replicate it, but using glass as walls didn't work... so I used a special material lighter than wood but stronger than steel as the main material for the support pillars and walls, before adding in thick panel glass windows."
"..."
What sort of material is that? Some fantasy material? If such a material existed and was cheap enough to make such a giant skyscraper out of it, then the world would've probably been using it widely by now.
I turned to Fatima, and she probably guessed what I was thinking, so she quickly went to Ember's side and started to talk with her.
Anyway, with that out of the way, we slowly began walking forward, heading to the said "skyscraper" in the distance. That place is where we'll be staying for the entire week inside Ember's Kingdom.
Time for some R&R!
---
"Hey, *#%$. I finished the thing you asked me to do."
In a dark space, surrounded by slowly spreading cracks where mystic colors were peeking from, Namia appeared with her hands crossed before her bountiful chest.
"That man... are you sure he's the one that will break your..." n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Before she finished her words, she turned silent, as if listening intently to someone else.
"I know. But, isn't the world heading for the worse due to him? Look at your space! It's starting to break!"
As she exchanged words with someone in the black room, her expression slowly turned more irritated, as if she were getting full of it.
"... Alright, I'll believe you, just one last time."
As if surrendering, she ended up heaving a deep sigh before turning around and walking away.
"But if you disappear because of him... I'll make sure to kill him."
As soon as she left those words, her figure turned into a mist and vanished. The room went still for a while before, finally, threads of golden light started to glimmer. Letters and numbers floated in the empty air as if they were calculating something. A few moments later, the golden threads have turned into words, displaying a worrying countdown.
[Time until Singularity: 3 Years, 5 Months, 1 day, 16 hours, 32 minutes, and 19 seconds.]
[Estimated Scale: 500%]
[Chance of Survival: 0.000001%]
Aaaand, another arc ended...
Sorry for the late update, I'm currently sick. Hopefully, it gets better today, or if not, tomorrow...
