Chapter 259 Light
"I'll kill you." It blasted with rage behind its voice. Its protective golden bubble materialized into place, and it held its hammer diagonally, eyes fixed on me.
I knew what it was up to, and so I braced myself.
ZOOM!
It came at me like a giant bullet, intending to ram into me and squash me, and like a swift bug, I moved out of harm's way with teleportation. It came again, above this time around, and this time, it was close, however, though it was fast, I was faster with teleportation by my side.
That bubble around it would pose a massive problem for me, the only things that had torn through it—at their own destruction were my rocks, and I doubt I wielded anything that was as damaging as my rocks were, except for maybe my blades.
My blades—still equipped in my hands immediately flared with dark flames. The creature came at me again, like a raging bull, it stormed forth and once again I had to teleport out of harm's way.
'Where to strike?'
The ghostwave hybrid was a master of fighting at a close range, it was even more adept than I was in that regard. The only edge I had over it was that I had more skills and items at my disposal.
"Hmmm…" I squinted my eyes as I focused on it, the two of us meters away from each other, still as if we were waiting for the other to make a move.
I had a plan, one that I needed to execute quickly and one that could have me dead were I to fail or take too long.
It took the first move and stormed forth, its bubble still over it. It was fast, incredibly fast, but I could be faster.
With <Visionary>, I saw its path and movement and when I saw that the conditions had been met, I decided to engage. It was where I wanted it.
I was going to burn a ton of my energy with this move. Discover more stories at empire
I jumped and I activated it, "Gravity press x30!"
A powerful gravitational force fell on the bubble and the ghostwave creature, and as I suspected, the bubble ripped apart, exposing the struggling creature.
The ghostwave hybrid withstood my gravity press attack, even with the force multiplier of thirty behind it. Its hammer–for the first time since our match fell from its hands, and it was exposed to my onslaught.
I was in the air, just above my opponent, and I smirked down at it.
"I have you now."
I spun gathering momentum, a dark hot thing gathering at my blades and then I landed on my opponent, dousing it with dark flames.
I had turned off my gravity press at that extremely short time, I wouldn't want my move to halt me and it was successful. My attack struck brilliantly–sinking into the hybrid's white and tender chest and then my flames burst into it setting it aflame.
It threw itself back as the black flames ate through it, its arms flailing in resistance and I saw tinges of the golden bubble trying to reform but it was to no avail.
Surprisingly, it made no sound that it was in pain, it only threw its arms. And then, it fell to the ground, unmoving, and I watched it get burned to nothing.
The notifications came soon after.

[You have met the conditions to fight the room's boss]
I was elated until I saw the last message.
"I have met the conditions to fight the room's boss?" I repeated, surprised. But it did make sense, this was the forger and not Suphas. I let out an exasperated sigh.
This Suphas had better not be nearby, I would be easy meat were it to show up now. Though my energy was recovering at a super fast rate, it was still largely depleted. I was in awe that the forger hadn't ran out of energy throughout our battle, but then, perhaps it had an energy recovery item or ability of its own.
I took my mind off Suphas for a second. It was time to check my loot.
[The Forger's Hammer]
[Additional Information]
The Forger's Hammer, born from stones that made the world and incessantly beaten into shape by the indestructible ingot, this hammer grants great power to the worthy, however, with great power comes great responsibility.

"Cool!" I cried in excitement, that additional information was every bit of interesting lore I craved for whenever I got a new item, it was so cool.
'The stones that made the world huh?'
"It would have been nice had it dropped some coins too, I'm so broke." I blurted, closing my eyes in embarrassment.
"Too too broke."
I got both The Forger's Hammer and the Absolute Appraisal skill. They both sounded superb, and true to their names, they were.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Sounds quite handy."
From the looks of things, Suphas wasn't particularly nearby which was a relief. My energy was recovering at a very fast rate, and my injuries had healed, I was reverting to my peak condition.
Items that are gotten automatically get saved in my personal space pocket dimension, and I would have to summon them from within it.
"The Forger's Hammer." I called and the hammer materialized in front of me and fell, hitting the ground with a loud clang.
True to its name and might, this thing was at least two times larger than I was, and I was in awe.
"Incredible."
I took a hold of the handle, my hands couldn't even fully grip it, it was too wide for the measly hands of a human, but nevertheless, I got a hold of it and proceeded to raise it.
Before raising it, I had run energy across me and amped myself considerably. I had braced myself for what I assumed was a challenge of its own, but when I proceeded to raise it up, it was surprisingly light and it came up as easy as a little stick would in my hands.
"So light."
What do you think?
