Chapter 353: Return Home
Kyle looked at Lotus coldly and then kicked her.
Bang!
"I don’t know how you see me in your so called past life and what I have done to you, but since you’ve been begging me to get rid of you, you should be ready for the consequences aren’t you?"
Kyle used his left hand to cover Kate’s ear and eyes while his other hand used the lightning element to electrocute Lotus.
He felt that his patience towards this woman was getting worse and worse.
From their past interaction so fast, he didn’t even do anything towards Lotus, but she kept on going against him as if he had destroyed her entire life and she was doing everything for revenge.
Did he?
He didn’t know what he did inside her mind and so called rebirth that she experienced. But in this life, he didn’t try to go against her aside from the fact that he had been against Petra because of their conflict.
Did she want to attack him to make sure that he would not attack Petra?
Was she such a romantic woman who would do anything for her man?
Kyle didn’t know Lotus main reason and he didn’t want to know. At this time, he just wanted to kill Lotus because she kept on trying to kill him and annoy him to no end.
Her scream filled the cave.
Until it eventually disappeared because the electricity was far more than what her body could possibly bear.
But Kate couldn’t hear anything. Kyle had already put the space barrier around her so that she would not have to listen to it.
*Rumble!*
The earth shook and Kyle frowned. He took the source pearl and noticed that it cracked into three pieces after he had poured his blood on it. One piece was rainbow in color, one of them was fairly transparent but still had several mixing colors, and the last one was darker with some other mixing colors.
Kyle handed them to Kate, who took them into her space and sealed it away. She didn’t want to accidentally absorb them either.
<Are you fine?> Kate noticed that Kyle’s forehead was filled with beads of sweat. She looked at the source and had the feeling that when one took the source, they were directly taking the energy away from it.
During the process, they had to be fast and not be disturbed.
Because if they didn’t focus, there might be backlash.
These thoughts went rampage in Kate’s mind, making her both confused and worried. Confused as to why she would know something like that when this was the first time she ever came in contact with the source. Worried that something will happen to Kyle because he had to fight and use his ability just now.
"I’m fine." Kyle patted Kate to reassure her. "Transport us to the other’s location."
Kate looked at Kyle suspiciously, but she didn’t pester him anymore. The earth was shaking and if they stayed here any longer, they might be buried alive. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Swish!
They appeared near the others, who had somehow made their way back to the beach. It seemed that they didn’t want to stay near the entrance of the mist either and chose to step back when more and more giant mutated animals appeared.
They looked at Kyle with surprise and then smile.
"Let’s get away from here!"
"Yes!"
Lotte stretched her hand and used the wood element to make a relatively crude boat for them to use. There were no other ships or boat here, so they could only use their abilities to make it.
Taking the boat, they directly sailed away from the crumbling island. Using Lotte’s wind element, they could get away further from the island faster. The other people who were lucky enough managed to get away but some others were not so lucky.
The island was completely destroyed.
"Where’s the military ship from before?" Jake asked as he took a deep breath. He didn’t want to experience another thrilling experience.
Anyway, this should be their last mission, right?
Without the source, these giant mutated animals would be able to grow up so quickly anymore. Even if there were still some powerful giant mutated animals, they should be able to achieve a delicate balance for coexistence.
"Over there." Lotte was still using her wind element while sighing. If only Dylan was here, she could ask him to use the water element to help them get away from the crumbling island faster.
The waves from the fallen rocks and debris from the island nearly overturned the small boat a few times.
Thankfully, they somehow got away…
"Thanks for the wall." Lotte nodded at Marc, who made an earth wall in front of then, splitting the waves before it hit their small boat.
"You should strengthen the boat first." Marc smiled bitterly at Lotte. The island was still in the process of crumbling away. If another large piece fell and caused large wave, their small boat wouldn’t be able to hold on.
"Oh, you’re right…."
"Wang!" <Thankfully we get away from that mist.>
After separated from Kyle, they dealt with the giant mutated bird that attacked them. But afterwards, there were more giant mutated animals coming after them. Even if it was not a problem for them to deal with those giant mutated animals, but many of them were already rank 6.
It would take a long time.
With some consideration, they chose to rush back and stay at the beach. Anyway, they knew that Kate could do teleportation and as long as she knew the spot where she wanted to go, she could head there very quickly.
This island should still be within the limit for Kate’s teleportation ability.
If one time was not enough, two times teleportation should be possible.
"Yeah." Marc patted his dog while looking at the crumbling island in front of him. The wall was quickly disintegrated while Lotte was busy making the boat bigger and stronger. At the very least, it had to be enough for them to stay for half a day.
This small boat was a bit cramped right now.
