Chapter 256 Big Progress, Soul Bound Oath
256 Big Progress, Soul Bound Oath
"We can only ignore it for now since we can't do anything about it."
"The Divine Seats are focused on creating the weapon that utilizes Genesis energy with other Supremes. Supreme Jigen Lokesh is the most well-versed in space, but he should be most busy in this research."
"His role is necessary in creating that weapon."
…
On the other hand, Aleron had returned to his mansion, but the girls were still in enlightenment. It had been well over a day by now.
Aleron ordered some food the noon next day after researching in Genome in the morning, and when the food arrived half an hour later, Shelby had finished her enlightenment, reaching level 6 in Magilore.
Throughout the day, other girls woke up one by one, all having reached the 3rd level of Magilore and having different amounts of progress in the 3rd level.
Everyone took a day's break, while Kira also returned from her solo mission near the end of the day.
The next day, the girls, including Kira but not Shelby, used the remaining Enlightenment Fragment, this time improving their Concepts.
Two days passed by while they were in the enlightenment, and the resources that Aleron had given to Lilisa also returned in the form of pills and potions.
At the same time, Aleron was finally done crafting his own potion—Genome Tree Awakening Potion.
"Shelby, let's start."
Shelby nodded as she down cross-legged, and Aleron sat behind her, putting his hands on her back.
Although this was a potion, Aleron's role was important in this process. Without him, this potion was useless, or more like, a death's invitation. With Aleron's help, Shelby absorbed the potion that started affecting her Bloodline and whole body.
Aleron guided the burst of Genome pulse in her with his control, evolving her Bloodline gradually while stopping Shelby's body from exploding.
[Gachapi: Master, we are in a pinch.]
At the moment, Aleron was on the second floor's hall in the mansion, inside a powerful space-time barrier that separated them from the material space layer of the Chaosverse as their aura or whatever they did inside wouldn't get sensed or leak outside.
But Lilisa just arrived and entered the mansion, calling him.
Aleron quickly commanded Astral, 'Astral, hurry up and kill a few Transcendent-rank powerhouses of Proper Path Alliance. Make sure that the Elder Markenz also dies.'
Astral appeared beside Aleron and then vanished, starting his entrance with a loud bang as he destroyed the elder's area.
Lilisa was shocked and quickly left the mansion before looking up to see rubbles of buildings in the air.
"What the hell?!"
She quickly flew away and saw the destruction along with Astral, who faced around eight Elders who were present. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
All of them were scared shitless, but so was Lilisa.
"W-What do you want?" one of the elders fearfully asked.
"You don't know who you're messing with. Don't do something that you'll regret later," Elder Markenz said, his expression dark.
Astral burst out laughing, his sound drowning the surrounding area. Lilisa was about to speak but had to stop, and others also shut up as they felt scared shitless hearing Astral's laugh.
Why would he laugh after Elder Markenz said that? Didn't that mean he didn't give a fuck about Proper Path Alliance?
They were scared!
Nobody dared to move, while the attempt at communication was severed because of the space-time severance barrier that blocked all forms of contact outside.
Suddenly, Astral stopped laughing after five seconds and conjured two big starry-steel black blades in his hands.
"I am going to kill three of you, guess which ones?" Astral asked with a grin.
The elders and Lilisa were startled before fear filled them.
Who was he going to kill?!
But a second later, Astral vanished and finished his attack as three darkest-marked elders died. Their bodies burned in a starry black flame as they screamed, but their scream only lasted for half a second because they were getting erased at a breakneck speed.
In just three seconds, the flame shrunk to the size of a fingernail before vanishing.
Complete obliteration.
Of course, Astral snatched their souls and sent them to hell.
Aleron couldn't afford to look here since he was focused on Shelby's evolution, but Astral returned shortly.
[Gachapi: Good, but don't disturb Master anymore. He is at a critical juncture.]
Shelby's bloodline was evolving, and its genome essence was already pouring out, whirling around her.
Aleron was suppressing the growth of her Genome Tree, sealing it in a way such that it wouldn't directly form its initial power after she came out of her cocoon later. He limited its progress such that her Body power would stay below 1000.
After that, it would automatically increase as her Arcane and Soul power catches up and increases alongside them.
Half an hour later, Aleron stood up as Shelby was in her cocoon, a dark blue scaled cocoon with light blue patterns and glowing wisps on it that pulsed every second.
The next day, the girls finished their enlightenment session, and all of them except Luna and Kira succeeded in reaching level 3 of their Concept.
But it was given. They were familiar with their Symbios Gear and the Concept they had comprehended through it for a long time already and had plenty of practice and insight into how it worked.
Luna was new, and her previous main Concept was Frostfire Spark, which was, in fact, not worse than Symbios Gear concepts.
It was at level 2, but Luna focused on her Symbios Gear concept this time and reached level 2 in it as well.
Aleron's second concept—Sever— was still at level 1 since he hadn't trained in it, but that was his next target since he had nothing else to do.
The girls started devouring resources to reach the peak of Paragon rank.
The next day, Aleron had finished one more potion and used it on Enorin since she broke through to Unbound rank first.
The others were also close to breaking through as they had reached the peak of Paragon rank after getting resources.
Shelby was still in the cocoon. The process was slow because Aleron made it that way. Unlike the six hours that he spent in the cocoon, the others would spend 2 days.
Everyone else also broke through to Unbound rank at different hours on the same day, including Kira.
Aleron could only make one Genome Tree Awakening Potion per day, so he evolved the girls one by one every day.
He would spend the rest of the day practicing the Sever concept and training to unravel deeper layers of it.
Meanwhile, the outside world was still discussing about Astral and trying to locate him.
Twenty days passed by, and nobody knew that a bunch of monsters were living in a mansion at the Proper Path Alliance.
The Eternals helped Aleron bolster his forces as they had taken the girls to the Soul Genesis Nexus a day after each one came out of their cocoon and familiarized themselves with the newfound power.
In twenty days, everyone's Body power stood between 700-800 based on the suppressions of their growth, while their souls were around the same value.
The main focus now became Arcane, everyone was in meditation most of the time, delving into Magilore.
During these twenty days, Aleron had also crafted seven more Genome Tree Awakening potions and reached level 2 in Sever Concept.
Grand Elder Medellin also returned, and Aleron was called on the same day. At the top of the mountain, in the grand palace, Aleron stood before Grand Elder Medellin and Lilisa.
It was for the Soul Bound Oath.
"Aleron, are you ready to take on the oath?" Grand Elder Medellin asked with a solemn expression.
"I am," Aleron nodded, his face somber. Internally, he was scoffing. 'Fuck your Soul Bound Oath.'
The Eternals had already given him a method on how to bypass it, and he was long prepared.
This Soul Bound oath was basically an oath that bound his soul to obey it. If he broke the oath, his soul would self-destruct.
But Aleron had cut off a tiny piece of his soul while suffering pain and even kept it connected in a way. It was painful but necessary.
Now that he had a tiny piece of his soul, he would initiate the Soul Bound Oath through that piece. Of course, this was not all. He had to do one more, which was to shift the Soul Bound Oath to a fake soul.
The first measure only prevented his soul from destruction. If he went against the oath, only that tiny piece of soul would get destroyed, but in the process, this would also alarm the Proper Path Alliance because they had a way to find when someone broke the Soul Bound oath.
The second measure of shifting the piece of soul bound by the oath to a fake soul was necessary if he wanted to stay in the Alliance and lie through his teeth while opposing the Alliance, which he would need to do, and that would break the oath multiple times.
"Let's begin. Touch this orb and speak after me."
Aleron nodded as he touched the orb Lilisa brought to him on a cushion plate.
[Gachapi: Yep, this is a tricky item. They will know when someone breaks the soul-bound oath because of this.]
"I will never harm the interest of Proper Path Alliance."
"I will never oppose the Proper Path Alliance's path."
"I will do my best in the quests that Proper Path Alliance has taken for a new future."
"I will never betray the Proper Path Alliance."
Aleron finished the oath while the orb glowed throughout the process.
"Good, you can take off your hand now," Grand Elder Medellin smiled, but a glint passed through her eyes shortly.
"Now then…there are two things that require your attention, Aleron."
…
Meanwhile, Supreme Liyung Rose was in an extremely unpleasant mood.
