Chapter 295 Chapter 295 “What is that?”
The hot wind blew in the surroundings as Xin Yan noticed Noah flying forward slowly with a sword in his hand.
Her eyes behind the mask contained a hint of curiosity and confusion, wondering what the boy might do next.
Wuhan, on the other hand, suddenly stopped to think about what Noah might mean by his words.
"What do you mean— " Just as he was about to turn with a confused look on his face and question Noah, then suddenly it happened…
*Stab!*
Noah made his move and thrust his sword forward to stab straight ahead without any care in the world.
"Why?!" he screamed as he watched Noah thrust his sword directly into the chest of the man. "Why did you do that!!!"
But he got no reply. Noah pushed the sword to its end directly into his chest before the sword started to glow and several glyphs on it came to life.
The sight was so spectacular that even Wuhan forgot what he had to say next.
All the characters rushed out of the sword and enveloped the man in a ring formation. Several illusionary chains came out of it and bound the man from all sides.
"No!! I cannot let the lord's work go to waste!" The man, who was silently waiting for his death and took all the secrets down with himself, suddenly started to panic in fear.
His voice quivered as he did his best to get out of the chains binding him in place. All of his attempts were useless as life slipped from his grasp, but his body did not show any signs of dissolving.
He wanted to use a curse to make Noah and the others forget about this place and convert them into puppets of his 'lord'.
But to his shock and fear, he could not use the powers he was bestowed by that very lord.
"This is all…." He did not even have the energy to speak anymore; strength left his body, and he died tied in those very chains.
"Why…?" Wuhan asked calmly, looking at what just happened. He could not believe anything.
"He would not have told us anything even if we had found a way to keep him alive for long enough. Can you release his body?" Hearing Noah's words, Wuhan's confusion increased even further.
"How do you know that? Do you know something about them?" Wuhan did not immediately release the man but appeared in front of Noah and looked deep into his eyes before asking.
"Sigh~ not I cannot tell you anything about this until I check something first." Noah sighed, seeing the serious look on his face. "If things are as bad as I thought, I will tell you about it. But if things are not as bad as I am thinking, you do not need to get into this mess."
"....."
Silence enveloped the area as Wuhan maintained eye contact with Noah for a few seconds.
"This is a matter of my kingdom's safety! I should know about this." He spoke with determination in his eyes.
"How about this, once we deal with all the hideouts I found, I will tell you something about them," Noah suggested.
Wuhan did not reply but released the man from the chains binding him. Now he was just surrounded by the glyphs from Noah's seals.
"At least let me look at his face, so I can see if I know about them. I cannot penetrate the clothes with my soul sense." Wuhan suddenly realized something and asked Noah, "Wait.. why are you both looking at me all of a sudden? I just looked at his face, okay!"
"Sure, we believe you~" Noah expressed with a great look of understanding. Xin Yan also nodded along with his words. "See, even she agrees. We have no problem with your orientations."
"Hey! I do not have any weird—" Wuhan snapped as his imagination ran wild. He immediately stopped and took a deep breath to calm himself down. "Whatever, man, let's just get this over with."
After a point, Wuhan just gave up and tried to change the topic. He knew there was no winning against the two of them.
"Hehe~ Can't do that anyway, their clothes have a mechanism," Noah chuckled. The frustrated look on Wuhan's face was worth messing with him. "Their clothes are weird, they have a mechanism that would detonate their bodies if someone tried to remove them."
As he was replying to Wuhan, Noah flew towards the pile of bodies at the bottom of the mountain. Arriving in front of them, he threw the body on top of a small pile of bodies.
*Woosh!*
With a wave of his hands, Noah pulled the three bodies he brought in along with him as he entered the domain. Seeing his actions, Wuhan narrowed his eyes and attentively watched Noah, wondering what he was doing. He did not know, but in the back, Xin Yan's hands became tense, as if she was ready to strike at any time.
After all, this was the moment Wuhan would have to make a choice, and she was not sure if he would still be on friendly terms with Noah. She did not want to take any chance and risk Noah's life on just a guess.
Under Wuhan's confused eyes, Noah brought out a huge piece of red stone. The stone was as huge as the size of his palm. Sensing no energies coming from the stone, Wuhan became even more confused.
At first, he thought that Noah was someone from the demonic sect, the ones that make blood crystals from the bodies of the humans and animals. Find exclusive stories on empire
"What is that?" He turned to look at the masked woman and asked calmly. His oddly calm face puzzled Xin Yan.
Before she could reply, Noah waved his hands and several seals appeared in the area. The seals started to expand all over the area and covered the area above all of the dead bodies.
Noah weaved a set of seals as another set of seals appeared above the current ones. The seals looked as huge as a small building. Watching the sight from their soul sense, both Xin Yan and Wuhan could not help but cast a look of astonishment at the boy.
