Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 394 Request

By the time they finished, Shane had not only secured a substantial amount of gold and materials but also gained access to the Alchemist's services… It was all thanks to the generous Master Alchemist.

"You have to come to us if you still have other items to sell. I'll do my best to satisfy you." Master Wu Dahai said as he took all the items. The items that really made this transaction expensive weren't the Corrupted Eternal Youth Elixir or the Tokens, but actually the five Momentum Shift Elixirs…

After all, the fact that it was able to give permanent Skills made it extremely valuable. After all, the other stalls or sellers he might find within the shelter could also sell elixirs that bestow power to the consumer. However, all of them were just temporary. The shortest duration would last for a few minutes, while the longest would last up to 30 days.

Shane then left the shop feeling satisfied, knowing that he had also made a valuable connection… Since Wu Dahai was a Master Alchemist, he would surely benefit from it in the long run.

Since he still had plenty of time, Shane decided to continue walking around the shelter to fully understand it. At this time, Cloud had already finished mapping the surroundings and was able to assist him in locating the busiest area.

It was the central plaza…

This plaza had turned into a marketplace, and Shane noticed a group of peddlers and vendors who had laid out mats on the ground to display their wares.

As he looked at the things they were selling, he realized that they were mostly ingredients for medicines, such as rare herbs, roots, beautiful stones, jades, and even exotic plants. The variety and uniqueness of the items caught his attention, and he spent some time browsing through the offerings. Well, he was looking for rare herbs that were also written in the Blood Alchemy Book.

After all, it was much better to have stocks in case he needed more Survivor Skills.

In the end, Shane was able to purchase some ingredients that were required to concoct potions that could help him obtain the skills of Lurker Zombies and Siren Zombies… Once he had enough of their bloods, he would surely be able to concoct the potions that could duplicate their skills.

'Mhmm… This should be enough…' Shane said as he decided to stop his shopping spree.

He then planned to go ahead and visit the Lord's Office to see if there was a way for him to obtain explosives… However, before he could leave, one stall in particular piqued his interest.

'Strange…' Shane mused as he didn't expect to find such a stall here.

It was a stall operated by an old woman with a crystal ball, and a sign that read, "10 gold coins per divination!"

Shane smiled, intrigued by the prospect of a divination. He approached the stall and handed over the coins.

The old woman looked up at him with piercing eyes.

"What do you wish to divine about?" she asked, her voice was raspy yet it was filled with a mysterious allure.

Shane had plenty of money right now, so he didn't mind splurging a bit for entertainment.

Shane thought for a moment before replying, "Can you tell me where the Vampire's Rise Apocalypse Ender is?"

The answer to this question was definitely not something this old woman would know. He just wanted to start with a difficult question to see her limit. He would then ask questions again and again until the woman could give him a satisfactory reply.

Shane then watched the old woman close her eyes and place her hands on the crystal ball. She murmured some prayers or chants for a few seconds before she spoke…

"Mhmm… I can't tell you the specific location." The old woman said while caressing the crystal ball.

"But I can sense the person's existence. This person lies in a place where the shadows are deepest, and the surroundings are thick with the scent of decay. The person is guarded by those who have fallen but still walk among the living. Seek the place where the sun's light never reaches, and you may find what you seek."

Shane was stunned for a bit as he didn't expect such an answer... However, the description may sound prophetic, but it was very vague, and it gave him an unclear direction in which to start his search. In short, it was definitely a scam since he felt that he could also use such words if someone was asking him the same question.

The old woman definitely had no idea where Statham was, and she was simply scamming her customer.

'Well… That was fun…"

He thanked the old woman and left the stall…

The old woman smiled after seeing her customer leave and shook her head. It seemed that she realized that the man did not believe any of her words just now…

As Shane returned to the inn, he noticed a figure waiting for him near the entrance of his room.

The man stood tall and was very imposing…n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

'A knight? What is he doing here?' Shane mused.

The man's armor gleamed faintly, so Shane could tell that it must be a Master Grade item at the very least.

Shane approached cautiously, realizing that this was no ordinary encounter.

"Can I help you?" Shane asked, breaking the silence. The knight had been observing him intently, and Shane had no idea who he was.

The man finally spoke. His voice was deep and authoritative.

"You're incredibly strong… I can tell. I want to make sure that you're not here to cause trouble."

Shane raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And you are?"

"I am Claude, Lord Han Zhuo's Knight." The man replied.

Claude actually had an Inspection Skill that allowed him to gauge the level of anyone at his level or below him. Since he couldn't determine Shane's level, he easily guessed that he must be above level 35.

Of course, this wasn't as accurate as the device that they could use since his skill could also be blocked by a special item.

Nonetheless, he had an intuition that Shane was really strong.

'I want to fight him...'
